This rare Shaligram comes from the sacred Kali Gandaki River in Nepal, known as the only source of these divine Vishnu fossils. The natural markings on this stone resemble vajra-like ridges, symbolizing the indestructible thunderbolt energy of Lord Vishnu.
It is said that after defeating the demon Vṛitra, Indra’s Vajra weapon was purified in the Kali Gandaki river. The markings on some Shaligrams resemble thunderbolt lines, known as Vajra Keelak, representing indestructible divine protection.
