These rare Bodhi seed beads (Buddha Chitta) come from the sacred region of Timal, Nepal, long respected in Himalayan Buddhist tradition for producing authentic meditation malas used by monks and Vajrayana practitioners.

Each bead measures approximately 7 to 8 mm and remains completely natural and unaltered. The color, density, and natural eye formations are signs of premium quality Bodhi seeds, something that is increasingly difficult to source in today’s market.

Bodhi seeds hold deep meaning across Vajrayana, Mahayana, and Zen traditions. The Buddha attained awakening beneath the Bodhi tree, and for this reason bodhi malas are traditionally used for mantra recitation, japa, and meditation practice to cultivate bodhicitta, the awakened mind of compassion and wisdom.
