This 108+1 beads 9 to 11mm Bodhi Mala is made from Raw natural seeds straight from the tree and are sourced directly from Temal, Nepal, the region known for producing some of the finest Buddha Chitta beads in the world.
Each mala is made with 108 real Bodhi seeds and a guru bead. You can pick from three sizes of beads 9mm, 10mm, or 11mm, depending on your practice and need. The beads in each size group are matched so they look neat and feel smooth while you count your mantras. The guru bead is a little bigger, around 15 to 16mm, to help you know when you’ve completed a full round. Because these are natural seeds, each bead is a little different, but they stay within the correct size range for the mala you choose. This makes your mala feel balanced, comfortable, and perfect for prayer or meditation.
This mala comes in three natural color variations, and the one you’re viewing is the light, earthy tone that appears when the seeds are freshly peeled straight from the tree. These beads are considered the most valuable because they are completely untouched, not oiled and not dried in the sun. For a seed to stay in this pure color, it must naturally fall within a specific size range, which makes beads of this shade exceptionally rare. Only a handful of sellers in Nepal, including us, are able to offer them in their original, authentic form.
If you would like to explore other color variations, please visit our Bodhi Mala section for more options.

When you hold this mala, you will feel the gentle weight, the smooth texture, and the natural warmth that only authentic Bodhi seeds carry. These are Original Phoenix Eye Bodhi beads, not polished wood, not dyed seeds, and not machine-made imitations or fake beads sold as bodhi seeds. This is the real natural bodhi prayer mala used by sakyapa, practitioners, monks, and lineage holders across the Himalayan regions.
Genuine Bodhi Malas like this are deeply valued in Vajrayana Buddhism and by advanced meditators. People who work with Bodhi beads often say they help them stay steady during long practice, deepen mantra recitation, and bring a sense of grounding and clarity to the mind.
Bodhi seeds from Temal grow very slowly. Every season, farmers handpick the seeds one by one. Out of hundreds of trees, only a few seeds reach the perfect size and shape needed for a high-grade mala.
To give you an idea:
From 100 older Bodhi trees, you may get only 50 pieces of 10 mm mala
Maybe 10 pieces of 9 mm mala
And if the season is truly blessed, 2 or 3 pieces of 7 mm or 8 mm mala
This is why these beads are considered precious. Their rarity, combined with the tradition of using them only for prayer and meditation, makes the Bodhi Mala a treasure for both practitioners and collectors.
Please be aware of the wooden imitations or artificially altered beads found in the market and sold as Buddha chitta or Bodhi seeds. They may look similar in photos, but they do not carry the same life energy, weight, or natural markings as real Bodhi seeds.
