Why We Selected It

Small Bodhi Chitta beads are considerably harder to assemble into a complete mala than larger sizes.

This piece was selected for its unusually small 7–8mm beads, clear natural Phoenix Eye markings, consistency, and strong seed structure.

We keep the beads close to their natural form rather than reshaping them for artificial uniformity.

From Timal, Nepal

Bodhi Chitta has a long connection with the Timal region of Nepal, where these seeds are traditionally collected and used for Buddhist malas.

They are also commonly known as Buddha Chitta, Phoenix Eye Bodhi, Bodhi seed prayer beads, and Buddhist prayer beads.

Each natural seed develops its own pattern, texture, tone, and shape, so no two malas are exactly alike.

Traditional Use

Bodhi Chitta malas are traditionally used for mantra recitation, meditation, and Buddhist practice.

The smaller 7–8mm bead size gives this mala a lighter and more compact feel than larger Bodhi malas, making it especially comfortable for regular japa, travel, and longer practice.

Optional Blessing
